How It Works
How It Works
Turmeric Gold is an advanced turmeric extract with superior curcuminoid absorption and bioavailability. It is shown to be 24 times more bioavailable than standardized turmeric extract with black pepper.
What Is Turmeric?
Turmeric is a yellow-orange spice that has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine. Curcuminoids are a family of active compounds within the turmeric spice. Curcuminoids are excellent antioxidants. They are shown to help modulate NF-kappaB, the crucial gene signal determining how a cell naturally manages stress and inflammation.*
Curcuminoids are polyphenolic pigments and include curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin. Clinical studies have shown that curcuminoids support joints and tissue health, normal inflammation modulation, immunity, healthy cholesterol levels, healthy blood sugar levels, detoxification, and healthy aging.*
Turmeric Absorbability
The purity, potency, and absorbability of turmeric and curcumin supplements varies widely.
Typically, turmeric/ curcumin has poor bioavailability (the amount of active compounds that reach the bloodstream). One method to improve bioavailability is to include black pepper extract (BioPerine). This is helpful, but has limitations and still requires large doses (~1500mg) to be effective.
Turmeric Gold contains an innovative, water-dispersible turmeric extract called TurmiPure Gold. It is the world’s most bioavailable and first bioequivalent turmeric at a low dose of 300mg. It is shown to deliver more curcuminoids in the blood with 300mg of TurmiPure Gold than 1,500mg of turmeric 95% (with or without addition of 1% black pepper extract).*

Turmeric Gold Caps with TurmiPure Turmeric Extract - Highest Curcuminoid Bioavailability (90 Capsules) - Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten-Free Turmeric SupplementI was recently told by my doctor that in addition to glucosamine chondroitin, I need to add turmeric supplements to my regimen.I’ve been taking 3 per evening with my meal of a different brand, but thankfully this Turmeric Gold Caps with TurmiPure Turmeric Extract serving size is only 1. The capsules are super easy to swallow, with no aftertaste.I have recently ordered several supplements on Amazon and one thing I’ve noticed is that none of them say “Pharmaceutical grade,” which my store bought ones do.That being said, my hands are the first to tell me if I’ve forgotten to take glucosamine chondroitin and turmeric supplements, mocking me with stiffness and joint pain. What I have noticed with this Turmeric Gold Caps with TurmiPure Turmeric Extract is that my hands are silent…no complaints…no pain…so I’m getting enough turmeric from this supplement; and I’m very grateful. Reasonably priced at $35 for 3 months, this is an awesome replacement for my current supplement. If you’re looking for a turmeric supplement, you might want to consider this one.Thank you so much for taking the time to read this review, have a FANTASTIC day!!
If you are reading this you know that the market is filled with turmeric/curcumin products, and it is confusing as heck! I would strongly encourage anyone interested in taking these supplements to first do some research - it is helpful to know what the benefits are, and specifically what components provide those benefits. Marketers don’t help much. I am relatively new to turmeric products and have done a bit of research and I will try to provide a little info to help provide some guidance, and maybe to help you fine tune your research: Turmeric is a food/spice, and has benefits to it, including anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, as well as potentially helping to lower cholesterol. Curcuminoids consist of three specific compounds, and make up only ~5% of the turmeric - and of that amount, ~75% is curcumin. What all this means is you need to pay close attention to the ingredients to know whether it is ‘turmeric’ or ‘curcuminoids’ or ‘curcumin’... they are not the same thing, although they are related, and ultimately it is sort of an exercise in math: 100% turmeric equals approx 5% curcuminoids, which equals approx. 4% curcumin (rough estimates for discussion purposes). To achieve the benefit you are looking for the dosage matters, and the dosage (and best way to get it) depends on your specific need. The dosage to aid in antifungal or antibacterial situations is very different than the dosage to aid with joint pain. So, ultimately, it isn’t necessarily the case that any specific product is ‘good’ or ‘bad’, but whether it is the right product, with the right ‘ingredients’ to address your specific issue. For my specific purposes I am looking for joint pain relief, and as a result, I need to take a relatively high amount of curcumin. Typically curcumin is not as readily absorbable as some compounds, and usually black pepper, or bioperene extracts, are added to add in absorption. This product does not have black pepper extracts. While it does taut the bioavailability of the curcuminoids, I have found little benefit from the recommended dosage of one capsule/day. I have upped it to two/day and there is some benefit, but I am thinking I may need to up it to 3 to see if there is any additional benefit. If I need to take 3 capsules per day, then this becomes a very expensive product (not to mention, my strong preference not to have to take 3 capsules per day - would much prefer a single capsule). So, for that reason this product is not as effective as I had hoped it might be. I should add that another reason I take turmeric supplements if for the potential cholesterol benefit... and it is possible that this may be great for that purpose (I have my bloodwork done in a couple of weeks, so I will know then). I think this product is a good product, but if your specific reason for taking it is for joint pain relief, then know that the benefits seem pretty weak with the recommended dosage, and you will likely need to increase the dosage. On a positive note, the capsules have no taste and I have had no stomach issues taking it. I hope this review is helpful to you, and if so, let me know by clicking ‘Helpful’... I will try to update after my bloodwork to see how it has impacted my cholesterol...
I love my daily turmeric, it has so many health benefits! I primarily take this for supporting healthy joints and reducing inflammation since I struggle with joint issues! It also supports tissue health, cholesterol and blood sugar and boost immunity. This product is vegan and gluten-free, important facts for me! This product states that the serving size is one capsule which is 300 mg. I typically take about three times that so I will be taking a couple capsules in the morning and one at night. Because there are no FDA recommendations for the daily recommended amount of turmeric as of yet, you'll need to do a little bit of trial and error to find out what is a good amount for yourself. I know the minimum for me is 500 mg but if I'm experiencing a flare up I'll go up to 2,000. On a daily basis I typically take around 1,000. I have personally found turmeric supplements to be very helpful for myself and this is a good formulation, just be aware of the how many capsules you may have to take compared to what you've been taking previously.
This form of turmeric is easy to absorb and my body gave good feedback.
I like that it is for pain relief and also is a blood thinner.
