How It Works
How It Works
Grape Seed Extract contains red grape seed extract, a potent bioflavonoid antioxidant in the polyphenol family. Grape Seed Extract supports collagen integrity, antioxidant status, cardiovascular health, and immunity.*
Grape Seed Extract Polyphenols
Grape seed polyphenols are known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC's). There are over 4,000 polyphenols in nature, varying in structure and biological activity. OPC's have a unique polyphenol structure enabling them to interact with various proteins and enzymes relating to the circulatory system.*
Wellness Resources Grape Seed Extract is concentrated for 95 percent OPC.
OPC's for Collagen and Circulatory Health
OPC's have a very strong affinity for collagen structures in the body, helping to boost the strength and integrity of collagen fibers. Research shows they are highly attracted to the skin, gastrointestinal mucosa, and circulatory system. In the circulatory system, OPC's help protect against degradation of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, which are the main structural components of the circulatory connective tissue matrix.*
OPC's are known to help blood vessels relax via the release of nitric oxide, which also stimulates collagen synthesis as needed. OPC's also act as a potent antioxidant along the lining of the circulatory system. OPC's have undergone extensive human testing and are widely used in Europe as a health supplement to support circulatory health, especially for the integrity of veins and capillaries.*
Grape Seed Extract for Nerves and Immunity*
Studies show that grape seed polyphenols are very protective to the brain, reducing oxidative stress in the brain and supporting the health of brain proteins and acetylcholine, which are factors involved with memory and cognition.* Grape seed extract also help the body produce glutathione, which is the master antioxidant that strengthens the immune system.*
Grape Seed Extract for Children
In today's polluted world, a key concern is to protect a child's developing nervous system. Grape seed polyphenols are very protective to the brain. Grape seed extract also supports antioxidant status and immune function. As a fruit extract, it is very safe for children.*
Wellness Resources Grape Seed Extract is a small easy to swallow capsule that may be pulled apart and mixed in liquid or food It has a light natural grape taste, making it easy to give to children.*

This seems to be a good quality Grape Seed Extract so far.- Capsules are easy to swallow- No odd aftertaste or ill effects- Price/Value is decent- Label has GMP stamp and claims 3rd party lab tested (however I haven't seen the COA yet)I haven't had any problem taking these, but I'm only giving 4 stars for now until I have a chance to view a COA from the company for this product. If/when I receive that, I'll revise my review accordingly.
fyi: I take Grape seed extract and Grape seed oil...they have different properties and uses. This supplement> Grape Seed Extract. It is rich in polyphenols and have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.vs Grape seed oil which is composed of fatty acids, have culinary uses, moisturizing properties and heart-healthy benefits. This product was sent with a short shelf life/expiration date, 6 months from time of my order.I was a bit surprised. I typically expect my supplements to have a 1 year expiration date. It's not the end of the world as I keep certain/many of my supplements in the fridge to help maintain their freshness, especially since I don't take many of them every single day.** Their website is full of information for a promising quality brand! **Standardized nutrients with active compounds listed on labelNo "proprietary formulas" with hidden nutrient amountsNo hidden ingredientsEvery batch is tested to ensure label accuracyEvery lot tested for product quality, purity, potencyThird party testing to verify you are getting exactly what's on the labelTested for contaminants such as heavy metals and microbesFDA registered labsNote: I want the seller's Amazon product description, photos and marketing section, the company website product details & the product bottle label... all four of these to match up.I'm not seeing that with this product. >> Keep in mind, if you ever have questions, you can simply contact the company! Their bottle label and their website does include all the proper information to reach out. This product does not have any seals/stamps on the bottle. The Amazon description photo shows a generic GMP seal. The "About this item" seller's text description doesn't specify any GMP information.> I want to see GMP CERTIFIED in the description and in the marketing details VS like so many other brands that put a generic GMP seal on the bottle that states "Good Manufacturing Practices" or "Made in a GMP facility" ....which means nothing to me, if they haven't passed certification.I also want to see Third Party Lab Tested for purity seal. This product states it is on their website, in the Amazon text description & marketing description, yet a generic "purity batch tested" seal is in the seller's photo. Nothing is on the bottle. >> Again, the good news is their website & bottle does include thorough contact information if I wanted to question and acquire further verification. (I just prefer it to be done for me, all synced up! No wondering!)> Why would I feel the need to reach out? I want to be able to access both the GMP certification and the lab certificate of analysis before I take these regularly.** At the end of the day, I think this company is on the right track with a wide variety of promising products and great standards/intentions! I would applaud syncing up & clarifying the details I mentioned above. **fyi: There are loads of brands on the market that are purchased from a large scale, well known international company that sell for manufacturers, some with excellent certifications, some not so much. Anyone can buy their pre-made supplements (or ingredients for assembly) and start their own Private Label company with their own brand name & labels printed. I've ordered some unknown brand names that were of excellent quality, then some that I later after digging further, discovered the product didn't meet their claims.
Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out. This bottle comes about 75% full, which is not too bad nowadays. If used as directed it will last 1-3 month (100 capsules, taking 1-3 per day). The expiration date on mine (THANK YOU for not putting it on the bottom!) is Feb 2025, so about six months from now. They don't have much of a scent or taste, and are easy to swallow with waterI like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says none of those. The product page says 3rd-party tested, manufactured in the USA, and has a GMP stamp.I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. The bottle has their phone number, and the product page says family-owned since 1985. Their wellnessresources site is functional and informative. I like when a site doesn't just put generic statements about quality and health, but includes specific details about who they are and what practices they follow.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I like the ingredients, including that they did not use the fillers that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements I know about refuse to. And not a bad price, especially if it lasts 100 days.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.
I have added Wellness Resources Grape Seed Extract to my daily regimen and have quickly come to trust it as a staple supplement. Its high potency, with 95% OPCs—one of the highest available concentrations—was the main attraction for me. With time, I've observed a noticeable improvement in my skin's resilience. Although it's challenging to identify specific cardiovascular improvements, the antioxidant support this supplement provides is reassuring. It's not the kind of supplement that yields immediate effects, but I'm confident it's contributing to my health behind the scenes.Grape Seed Extract is esteemed for its potent antioxidant capabilities, which are beneficial in shielding the body from oxidative stress and bolstering overall health, including collagen synthesis and heart health. Wellness Resources' Grape Seed Extract, with its 95% OPC content, is particularly noteworthy for those seeking to optimize these advantages. No immediate transformative effects were apparent, yet the prospect of enhanced skin firmness and heart health over time justifies its inclusion in a holistic health regimen. Moreover, its non-GMO and vegan qualities are consistent with clean supplement standards.**As always, potential benefits can vary from person to person. Consulting a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement is advisable. Keep well (:
OK I have heard of grapeseed OIL but not an extract as a supplement so when I saw this I was extremely interested as it seems to have benefits out the wazoo! Like I mean literally it has health benefits for almost every single system in your body. It's a little nuts as it seems like it is a cure all BUT I take everything that i read online with a HUGE grain of salt. lolWill it do everything that it promises? I don't know as only continued use and time will tell. What I can tell you is that it arrived sealed so that I could tell that it had not been tampered with which is the first thing that I generally look for in things like this as I need to know that it is safe if I am going to ingest it.I also appreciate that it is made in the US and is made in a FDA registered facility as well as being GMP certified. It came in capsule form so that it was easy to swallow and left no aftertaste in my mouth.BUT please remember that everyone's body chemistry is different and what works for me might not work for you and vice versa.
