Cissus Quadrangularis: A Pilot Study in Human Fracture Recovery

Study Abstract

The tissue repair is an inherent property of most of the living tissues, which are vulnerable to sustain injuries. Hence it is natural that the defence mechanisms of the body try to overcome the problems produced by trauma and make up the deficiency. Different tissues like bone, muscles, tendons, nerve and skin have their own way and period of healing, Amongst all the tissues, fracture of bone takes longest time to complete repair and restoration of normal function. Because the fractures cause longest morbidity with associated immobilisation and restriction of ambulation, fractures affect the quality of life of an individual.
