Easy Peasy Almond Milk
May 23, 2013
Making your own almond milk is MUCH healthier (and tastier) than buying it in the store. It's super easy to do too!
Tools:
1. Nut milk bag (these can be purchased easily online.)
2. Blender
3. Large bowl
Ingredients:
1. 1/2 cup raw almonds
2. 5 cups purified water
3. 3 or 4 Medjool dates, pitted
4. 1 tsp Wellness Resources Immune Plus powder (for an added immune boost!)
5. 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
6. pinch of pink Himalayan salt (optional)
Instructions:
1. Pour almonds and water into blender.
2. Blend on high until mixture is thoroughly blended
3. Pour blended ingredients into a nut milk bag, holding the bag over a large bowl to catch the liquid. Squeeze the liquid from the bag into the bowl, until there is only pulp left in the bag. The pulp can either be discarded or reserved for another recipe.
4. Pour strained liquid back into the blender and blend with dates, Immune Plus powder, and optional cinnamon and salt.
