Berry Green Detox Smoothie

Doing the 10-Day Detox? This protein and fiber packed smoothie is an excellent breakfast option!
Ingredients:
1 scoop Daily Protein Plus
1 T. LeptiFiber or Fiber Helper
1 handful organic spinach
1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
1/2 banana
1 cup organic 2% milk**
1 T. chia seeds
Juice from ½ lemon
Blend ingredients and enjoy!
Makes 1 serving.

Tips for making the perfect protein smoothie:
- The goal with your morning smoothie is that your hunger is satisfied and you are able to sustain energy for 4-5 hours until lunchtime. You may need to increase protein and/or fat in your smoothie. You could add almond butter, avocado, coconut oil, or an extra scoop of protein to any smoothie recipe.
- ** We include organic 2% milk in many recipes since the milkfat and protein help to sustain your energy until lunch. However, you may certainly use a milk alternative. Just be sure it doesn’t have too much sugar and avoid soy milk. Good milk alternatives include: unsweetened almond, coconut, hemp, or rice milk; water plus 1 T. coconut oil or 1 T. almond butter, goat milk.
- Wellness Resources Daily Protein and Daily Protein Plus are high quality, undenatured whey proteins with no sugar or sweeteners. Although they are whey, they are free of lactose, casein, and cholesterol, so they are easy to tolerate!
- Fruit should be the only sweetener in your smoothie. If you add yogurt to your smoothie, choose plain, organic yogurt instead of vanilla or flavored yogurts.
- Want to save half your banana for the next day? Cut it into slices and freeze until you’re ready to use it!
