            Magnesium and Heart Rhythms

Magnesium is a key mineral for your nervous system, heart, and overall circulation. It is required in your heart to support the heart muscle’s normal contraction-relaxation pumping actions. Your heart also requires a tremendous amount of energy to work properly, and magnesium is needed in the final step of all energy synthesis (ATP production). Your...

            Coenzyme Q10 and Heart Health

Coenzyme Q10 is essential for energy production in your body; without enough Q10 you simply can not make energy at an optimal rate. Your heart requires huge amounts of energy to run properly. When you are fatigued, your nerves and heart do not have the energy they need to function in an optimal way, pointing your health in the wear and tear direction.*...

            Memory and Heart Health

For those who want to support both memory and heart health, the nutrient acetyl-l-carnitine shines. Natural production of acetyl-l-carnitine in the body declines with age, just as Q10 does. Acetyl-l-carnitine is one of the most powerful nutrients for nourishing the autonomic nervous system that regulates heart rhythms. A number of studies have shown that...

            Nerve Communication and Heart Health

Nerves must maintain healthy connections to tissues they are regulating, including the heart. When signs of nerve wear and tear (shaking, numbness, tingling, etc.) start to occur in the hands or feet, it means that the long nerves going to these areas are struggling to maintain healthy function. The basic nutrients needed for nerve transmission are B...

            Weight Management and Cellulite

Fat cell fitness is an issue of immense importance. As a person gains weight fat cells expand in size and replicate, and their metabolism becomes sluggish. Problems are aggravated by high stress. Within cellulite not only are the fat cells expanding in size, they are being knocked into irregular shapes. Fat cells naturally fill up with triglycerides when...

Fluid Retention, Lymph, and Vascular Changes

The circulation to and from the cellulite area is involved in the very first changes that lead to cellulite. Once cellulite gets going the damaged connective tissue actually holds more water causing fluid pressure to build and further weaken blood vessel structures. Because these tiny blood vessels are inherently fragile, there is a reduced ability to get...

Rapid Infant Weight Gain Predicts Obesity

One lesson you do not want to teach your newborn child is how to become fat. This can be accomplished by causing inappropriate weight gain in the first six months of life, in turn increasing their risk for obesity by 40% by age 3.

GABA: Managing Brain Stimulation, Anxiety, and Other Consequences

Stimulation surrounds us everywhere and everyday. Our nervous system has to process and filter this stimulation 24/7. Oftentimes, we do not realize how massive the job is in managing stimulation until something goes wrong. This may manifest as a migraine headache, panic, anxiety, depression or feeling stressed out. Sometimes it is more serious, such as...

New Insights on African-American Cardio Disease

The statistics are painfully clear. African-Americans are 40% more likely to die from cardiovascular disease than the white population; including a 250% increased chance for heart failure between ages 45 and 64. Conditions that increase the risk for heart disease such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and diabetes are at epidemic levels...

Low Vitamin C Impairs Early Brain Development

Researchers have found that low vitamin C in early life results in 30 per cent less hippocampal neurons and markedly worse spatial memory (animal study). The researchers demonstrated the vital importance of proper vitamin C levels, showing that even a slight lack can cause significant brain development problems.
