How It Works

It is well known that prenatal vitamins are important to take before, during, and after pregnancy. However, the quality of most prenatal vitamins on the market is greatly lacking. You want to make sure that the prenatal vitamin you're taking is truly supporting your health and the healthy development of your baby.*

Wellness Resources® Daily Prenatal Multi Vitamin™ sets a new standard for quality. It is the first prenatal vitamin designed specifically to maximize energy production. It contains the highest quality coenzyme B vitamins and special protein / mineral complexes. These high quality forms of nutrients facilitate optimal GI tract absorption and enhanced cellular uptake, ensuring that both you and your baby get the vital nutrients you need.*

Highest Quality Prenatal Vitamin

Pregnancy is no time to cut quality corners with nutrition. When you take the Wellness Resources Daily Prenatal Multi Vitamin™ you can rest assured that you and your baby are getting the very best.

Most prenatal vitamins on the market contain low quality forms of vitamins and minerals that simply cannot deliver as hyped. An easy way to detect the quality of a prenatal multivitamin is to look at the form of B12 listed on the supplement facts panel. The low quality form of B12 is called cyanocobalamin. This form of B12 can actually produce cyanide as it is metabolized. In contrast, the high quality coenzyme forms of B12 that are in Daily Prental Multi Vitamin™ are called methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. Taking these high quality b vitamins makes a huge difference in energy that you get from your prenatal vitamin.*

Coenzyme B Vitamins for Energy and Nerve Health

B vitamins during pregnancy are essential for both you and your baby. For you, coenzyme b vitamins improve energy and mood and offset stress. For your baby, B vitamins are vital for optimal development of your baby's nervous system. In fact, the availability of important nutrients during pregnancy, including b vitamins, affect gene settings in your child that significantly influence the future health of your child.*

At the top of your nutrient needs are B vitamins, especially folate, B12, and B6, which work synergistically to facilitate optimal nerve development. At Wellness Resources we use only the finest forms of these nutrients which do not contain potential nerve irritants. For example, we use the superior form of B12 known as coenzyme methylcobalamin. Cheap B12, called cyanacobalamin, produces cyanide molecules as it is metabolized that must be detoxified. Why expose your baby to that? We also use the coenzyme form of B6, pyridoxal 5' phosphate, that directly facilitates nerve function. Cheap B6, sold as pyridoxine HCL, produces a nerve-toxic waste product as it is metabolized.*

Methyl Folate for Pregnancy

Folate (also known as folic acid) is essential during pregancy. Folate is the natural, most absorbable form of folic acid. Folate deficiency can result in neural tube defects in developing embryos. Unfortunately, most folic acid in prenatal vitamins is synthetic and may actually clog folic acid receptors in your digestive tract and cause unpredictable results and low absorption. Daily Prenatal Multi Vitamin™ contains folate as coenzyme, methylated Quatrefolic®, which has superior absorption and does not confuse your folic acid receptors with a synthetic compound.*

Highest Quality Iron and Zinc for Growth

During pregnancy it is absolutely vital that your iron and zinc status be maintained to support optimal growth and fetal development in hundreds of different ways. These minerals are every bit as important to pregnancy as folic acid.

Daily Prenatal Multi Vitamin™ contains a unique form of iron called iron bisglycinate, which is one molecule of iron bound to two molecules of glycine--a natural amino acid chelate. This form of iron stays intact in your digestive tract, does not cause constipation, is easily utilized and does not produce unnecessary toxic byproducts. The low quality iron forms to avoid are ferrous sulfate and ferrous gluconate. Check your label!

We also use the natural form of zinc, which exactly parallels the way your body naturally absorbs zinc. Most other multivitamins contain the inexpensive, low-quality zinc oxide, which is poorly absorbed and can actually use up your antioxidant reserves. During pregnancy, it is essential that you maintain proper iron and zinc levels to support optimal growth and fetal development in a multitude of ways.*

Customers praise these prenatal vitamins for "high quality ingredients" and comprehensive nutritional content, including Quatrefolic and choline. Many noted they don't upset stomachs. The main drawback is the 4-capsule daily dose, which some find challenging. Pills are large with a noticeable smell, though tolerable when swallowed quickly.

FOUR capsules

A serving is 4 capsules. While that may be delicious in a gummy, it's annoying in a capsule. If you don't like the smell of vitamins, I recommend not putting your face in the bottle. It smells like vitamins. Once you separate out your dosage, the smell obviously dissipates. Then if you swallow quickly, you're not going to taste or smell it. At least the capsules are slightly smaller than average.

Extremely high quality

As an individual with a background in BioChem, and a career in health and wellness, i feel a responsibility to find the highest quality preparation of whatever i supplement with and suggest to others to consider. After an ongoing search spanning 20+ years i have been unable to find higher quality multivitamins than the Wellness Resources brand. Not even an alternative competitor. Thats partially why im leaving this review, this company deserves it.

High quality

This seems high quality. Hard to tell if it’s the right balance for me or if I’m absorbing it without a blood test, but the label seems to have most everything I want. 4 pills a day though is a lot

Something Extra For Your Day

My mom likes these multivitamins. They work just as well as Centrum & One-A-Day, without many hassles. In the end, you should give them a shot.

Great vitamins, but the dose is four large pills

Wonderful blend that hits 100% on a lot of daily values. The only two that are lacking is calcium and magnesium , and those two are really easy to find on their own. The downside of this product is that it is f o u r big pills to take on a daily basis. If that's not a problem for you, I think this is a good product! I don't mind it so much, but I've been too scared to try on an empty tummy just because it would likely upset my stomach.

The capsules smell like whey protein powder

The prenatal vitamins arrived in tample evident packaging. The expiration date is 3/26. The capsules smell like whey protein powder. I like that the company address, phone number and website are on the bottle.

Watch out for vanadium

This prenatal is made with high quality ingredients such as Quatrefolic. This is pretty much a form of folic acid that absorbs better into your body, making it much more effective. There's also the much needed choline and inositol. Questionable is the included vanadium, which might not be good to take during pregnancy because it might be bad for the baby during certain trimesters. Because of this, I'd only recommend taking this before pregnancy, and switching over to a more complete prenatal that also has DHA when you do get pregnant.

Easy to swallow, but a lot in one day

These vitamins are easy to swallow. I haven’t experienced any adverse effects or unpleasant taste. The only downside is the amount of capsule you have to take. I personally find 4 capsules to be a lot.

Multi / prenatal

This multi which is also a prenatal looked like it had a comprehensive list of the vitamins needed and a good dosage of each vitamin to meet daily needs. I’m particularly fond of the vitamin A content and b vitamins. There are some ingredients in it that I’ve never taken before so I know there’s a chance my body could respond differently. So far I like it though and it seems like a good way to get your daily vitamin dosages in

Not for someone sensitive to pills

These vitamins are fine, but they're fairly large so for the dose to be 4 a day is rough. They also have a pretty significant smell, which is pretty common for a lot of multi vitamins. Probably will stick with these until I find something a little easier.

These prenatals are working good as far as we know!

We just found out we are pregnant and although we were taking another prenatal before this one, we've switched over as soon as this arrived. So far she's doing well! These haven't really interrupted her progress or anything so it seems like they're working well!Easy enough to take and full of everything you want while you're trying and during pregnancy. The only drawback is you have to take 4 a day. That's quite a few pills for what should be 1 or 2 at most. At first we thought it was an amazing deal, but apparently it's just a 30 day supply.

Good Prenatal Vitamin

This is a good prenatal vitamin that doesn't upset my stomach. The ingredients are top notch with the best forms of each vitamin. I chose this brand because I was concerned about the effect of regular prenatal vitamins on a baby with MTHFR. This supplement fills all my requirements. The only drawback is that you have to take so many pills, but that's a common issue I've seen. I just split my dose and take 2 in the morning and 2 at night.
