Statins Damage Liver, Kidneys, Eyes, & Muscles
June 6, 2010
The statin fraud continues to rage on as one of the greatest health frauds ever perpetrated on gullible human beings. The latest study, published on the British Medical Journal website, followed over 2 million British statin takers for a number of years. The data clearly shows that statin use caused liver failure, kidney failure, muscle failure, and cataracts.
The higher the dose, as is typically pushed on patients to lower their numbers to abnormally low levels of LDL, the greater the liver failure. Possibly, one day, the intelligence-challenged Big Pharma pill pushers will realize the liver oftentimes makes extra cholesterol so as to defend itself from the onslaught of too many calories. It isn’t the least bit surprising to see that when the liver can’t defend itself due to the use of the statin drug, then the liver fails. Long before liver failure is serious liver malfunction and dramatically handicapped quality of health, which wasn’t measured in this study but rest assured, the rates of such problems are extremely high in statin takers.
Slanted statin studies often try to make wild false claims for statin benefits – like being able to reduce inflammation. To the contrary, the dramatic increase in cataracts in statin takers prove that statins are highly inflammatory and produce massive amounts of free radical damage (which is how cataracts form).
In the face of this new data cardiologists stick to their PR line that the benefits outweigh the risks. I can never figure out how they arrive at such a ridiculous conclusion. Would any cardiologist out there care to explain how damaging the liver and kidneys improves cardiovascular health?
