Resveratrol Oxygenates Your Brain
Resveratrol has gained widespread notoriety as a major anti-aging nutrient. Many of the original studies have been done with animals and now we are beginning to see human resveratrol studies. A new study showed that in healthy adults dietary supplements of resveratrol1 were readily absorbed into the blood and significantly improved brain oxygenation.

The fact that a nutrient can readily improve the flow of blood around your brain is a significant finding that is reflective of a major benefit to human health. The researchers used either a 250 mg or 500 mg dose, with the higher dose showing even further enhanced oxygenation.

I have pointed out in previous writing the value of increased oxygenation be resveratrol prior to running, thereby enhancing your response to aerobic exercise. This new study is certainly supportive of my earlier observations and is consistent with my recommendation of 200 mg – 600 mg per day of resveratrol as an anti-aging and health-promoting supplement.
