Will Creamer in my Coffee Stimulate Insulin?

Question:

Does having a bit of cream in coffee or tea count as a meal and thus stimulate insulin production?

Byron:

A “bit” probably won’t raise insulin. I don’t think anyone has ever done a study showing the actual amount of fat calories required to raises insulin (it does so by a GI tract mechanism).  In my experience with people 1 tsp or less does not seem to be a problem.
