Question: You recommend 5-6 hours at least between meals. I understand your reasoning, but is the human body really designed for this? I doubt whether our caveman ancestors only ate 3 meals/day - they probably ate whatever and whenever they could. And what of the great apes? Don’t they have very similar endocrine systems to ourselves?
Byron:
If you really struggle to go five to six hours between meals I suggest you have some Pine Nut Oil capsules with you. You can take 3 any time you are hungry and you will be quite surprised to see that you no longer feel hungry and can easily go 6 hours without eating and with good energy (a result experienced by most who try).
A might add that running/jogging sensitizes leptin receptors so that the whole system works better. This is now a key genetic advantage and may have been a pivotal evolutionary point that separated man from ape. Exercise is important for leptin to work properly in your body.
